Hi! I'm a 17-year old self-taught artist who's enjoyed everything creative my entire life. The oil portrait pictured above is based off a photograph my friend took on her trip to Peru. When asked her age, the woman in the painting said "103," which - according to my friend - is "either very impressive or a slight exaggeration." Either way, the colors and stories embedded on her face were intriguing enough for me to attempt this painting. I only hope I have done her life even an ounce of justice in this portrayal.
