About the event
Bengali Poush Parbon (or Poush Sankranti) is a joyful winter harvest festival celebrated in Bengal around mid-January, marking the end of the harvest season with feasting, rituals, and the creation of special sweets called Pithe (rice cakes) made from freshly harvested rice, coconut, and Nolen Gur (date palm jaggery). It's a time for family gatherings, offering thanks to nature, and preparing delicious treats like Dudh Puli, Patishapta, and Payesh, symbolizing gratitude for a bountiful crop and the winter's sweetness.
Come celebrate Poush Parbon with the Purbasaha family!
